Frontend platform engineering at scale — frontend‑to‑edge.
I build and modernize the frontend platforms large teams ship on — the shared foundation, the build and release pipeline, and the CDN edge it all runs behind. Currently doing exactly that for Essent, across a ~400-project monorepo serving six brand apps.
What I do
- Platform foundations — the shared libraries, conventions and boundaries a few hundred projects and a few dozen teams depend on.
- Large-scale migrations — moving whole monorepos onto new framework versions, build tooling and patterns without stopping delivery.
- Build & workspace health — buildable/flatten restructuring, dependency untangling, lint and module-boundary rules, faster CI.
- Frontend to edge — SSR, CloudFront behaviours, edge redirects and AWS CDK; owning the request path end to end.
- Security & sustainability — vulnerability remediation, dependency governance, and killing what is provably dead.
